Data & Privacy
What the API stores about your requests, and for how long.
The design goal described publicly is to keep as little of your traffic as possible. Query text and request bodies are not persisted; they exist for the duration of the request.
| Data | Contains | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Request content | Nothing (not persisted) | Request duration only |
| API key | A hash and a short display prefix | Until revoked |
| Usage counters | Calls per key, per day, per endpoint | Short window |
| Billing ledger | Account, credits, endpoint label, timestamp | As a billing record |
| Alert subscriptions | Webhook URL, encrypted secret, email, watched source | Until deleted |
Webhook deliveries are signed so you can verify they came from the service (see Law Change Alerts).
